Managing OpenDJ as a service

OpenDJ can be configured during setup to run as a service on Microsoft Windows; you will find the option to Run the server as a Windows Service at the end of the installation procedure just after the initial configuration step. At this point, the installer presents a Review configuration screen where you can verify your settings and enable this option before clicking Finish.

Microsoft Windows services (including OpenDJ) can be started and stopped using the Windows Services MMC snap-in.

The OpenDJ control panel can also start and stop OpenDJ if it is running as a service.
