Strategy: in-place upgrade

For servers, you unpack the new software over old and run the upgrade command, reusing the same host systems.

If you use encryption and the default cipher-transformation settings, you cannot upgrade in place from DS 7.4.0.
Upgrade by adding new servers instead
and refer to Upgrade from DS 7.4.0 for details.
